How the Atlanta Beer Bus is Transforming Craft Brewery Tourism – Travis Irions, Founder

With new craft breweries opening up left and right, Atlanta is quickly making a name for itself as an up and coming beer city, and tourist destination. With this expanding market comes many opportunities for entrepreneurs to claim their stake, and our next guest has done just that. We’re excited to welcome the Founder and President of the Atlanta Beer Bus, Travis Irions. Born out of a love for beer, Travis and his team have created perfectly planned routes for Atlanta beer enthusiasts and visitors to help take the guesswork out of touring local breweries. Today, we’ll learn more about his entrepreneurial journey, and how he successfully transitioned into the Atlanta market.

After taking a trip to Asheville, NC to sample the local craft brews, Travis realized how popular beer tourism has become in many southeastern metro areas, and Atlanta is no exception. While the city is slowly becoming a more walkable, the majority of popular breweries were spread out miles apart. Travis then realized that what Atlanta needed was a way for tourists and locals to tour multiple breweries in a safe and efficient way. Thus, the Atlanta Beer Bus was born.
