Dale started her entrepreneurial journey over 25 years ago by creating a custom publishing business that produced magazines. Her first client, Chastain Park Amphitheater, approached her with the idea to host a music festival which would later be known as Music Midtown. Dale was responsible for the ad and sponsorship sales, as well as other marketing campaigns for the festival, and that’s how she transitioned to event marketing.
During the late 90s, The Food Network was taking off and chefs were entering popular culture in an unprecedented way. Using her background in music, Dale had the idea to start her own festival, but with rock star chefs in place of rock star musicians.
Now in its 18th year, Taste of Atlanta’s three-day festival will host 30,000 guests and feature tastings from over 100 local restaurants. Tickets holders will also have access to cooking classes, demos, wine and beer tastings, and for the first time, a concert.
